Common mistakes — don't make these

• Five Initiatives max per quarter. More than that and you're running a chaotic todo list, not a business.
• Every KPI needs an owner. Unowned metrics drift forever.
• Meetings without action items don't need to happen. After every meeting, capture commitments + owners.
• Quarterly: archive completed Initiatives. The win lives on in the public retro, not the active list.
• Distinguish leading from lagging KPIs. Both matter; lagging ones are easier to track but harder to influence.
